Along the path of production on The Shark is Still Working, there have been several ideas that seemed like good ones when they were conceived. They seemed good on paper, but at the end of the day, there just didn’t seem to be a way to integrate them into the main vision of the documentary. They were quirky and fun unto themselves, but there was just no place to hang them other than possible bonus material. Another idea we had, was to do our own “Jaws in Thirty Seconds.” This became another painful addition to the cutting room floor. When we were still in the interview phase of TSISW, and members of the Jaws cast were making their little contributions to our thirty seconds concept, we thought this idea would actually be a highlight of the whole documentary. Then when we cut it together, we realized that it just didn’t fit. So we had to put it on the launch pad. But we’re happy to share it with you here.
